Week of Nov. 6, 2017

  • YANKEE CANDLE FUNDRAISER:  The last day for paper orders submission is Wednesday, Nov. 8 so please make sure you complete your order forms to send in with your student by Wednesday.  If you miss the paper order form deadline this week, you can still order online until January, 2018. Group #990100562.
  • FALL BOOK FAIR:   The fall book fair is in full swing and will be going through  Thursday Nov. 9.  All classes will be visiting book fair during their library class.  Reading Night is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 6 PM.
  • BOYS NIGHT OUT: Friday, November 10 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Alverthorpe Park.  All Overlook Boys and their special adult, grades K through 6th are invited to take a walk in the dark and learn about nocturnal animals with Briar Bush Nature Center – Don’t forget your flashlight!  For those who missed the deadline to sign up, there’s still time!  Registration has been extended – go to the School Store today to sign up!
  • TREATS FOR TROOPS:  Congratulations to Ms. Kelly’s 4th grade class for winning our contest by bringing in just over 46 pounds of candy!!! They will be enjoying 30 minutes of open gym. Overlook brought in just over 300 pounds of candy.  The Overlook PTO partnered with Doc Bressler’s Cavity Busters who gave us $1 per pound. Doc Bressler will send the candy off to Operation Gratitude who takes the “sweet treats for our Deployed Troops and First Responders.
  • SAVE THE DATES:
    • Holiday Hollow- November 27th-November 30th.  Set up is on November 22nd.  Volunteers will be needed so be on the look out for sign up links!
    • The next PTO meeting is November 30th 7-8pm in the library.  We hope to see you there!!
